Every time we come up with ideas, create drafts, and press that “Post” button, we remember the big reasons behind why we are doing all of this…why do we blog about schools, restaurants, child care and events in Maryland?

The most obvious answer is that we blog to benefit our Home Sellers. By posting blogs and providing more information about our Home Listings, we are expanding the audience for those Listings.  This is an important service that we provide to our Home Sellers, and a service that not very many Realtors offer. Yet there is another reason why we blog that is a little less obvious, unless we remember to think like a Home Buyer.

When people start looking for a home, we know they begin online. All of the favorite home search engines show details about homes – the number of bedrooms, the square footage, the location, the size of a lot.  But there is information that Home Buyers are always looking for that cannot be conveyed only through a home’s listing.

What is the community like? What are the schools like? What else can the area offer other than a home?  What are the neighborhoods like – where do people shop, eat, and spend their free time?

Home Buyers crave this information.

We provide blogs of all different genres because we want buyers to see what a community is like, from many different aspects.  Blogging allows us to to provide general facts about homes and areas that we have deemed to be accurate.  Yet through blogging, we can also provide contact information to local businesses, to schools, and give our Home Buyers the opportunity to connect with other members of the community in which they are searching, all to develop a feel for the community on their own.

Our blogs don’t just help Home Buyers, but can also be helpful to Home Owners in a community. Some Home Owners may have lived in a community for years, and not be aware of everything it has to offer. Maybe someone would like to try out a new restaurants in the area, but haven’t taken the time to research the menus. Perhaps they have decided it’s time to look for a new child care provider, or find something new to do this weekend.  Here at The McIntyre Team, we always hope that our blogs can provide insight into the unique offerings that make it so great to live in Maryland.

So whether you are a Home Buyer, a Home Seller, or a Home Owner – We blog for you.
